A monk strap shoe should be in every man’s wardrobe, as well as being renowned for its comfort it has also seen a resurgence recently that we love. The Dylan is a monk strap with a difference though, it is made using a Moc Croc leather which is available in brown and black that really makes a statement. It is on a rounded toe last and is Goodyear Welted. We believe these look best with a suit or jeans with a slim leg opening to show off the shoe.
The Dylan is available now here for £275.
We are extremely proud of the new luggage collection at Herring Shoes. The new collection is handmade in Portugal. The bags are made out of premium grade dark brown leather and durable canvas from the British Land Rover Defender. You can find the Orkney here and Stornoway here.

The Herring Elgin is a gibson fronted longwing brogue. The longwing brogue was most popular in the 1970s in the USA but has seen a revival recently. The Elgin is available in a brown chromex leather which has a greasy lusture. Using a chromex leather gives the shoe a waxy rugged feel to it and the longwing design just adds to this, not to mention the dainite sole! What’s more, chromex leather can developed a really unique patina over time.
We also have the Erskin (chukka boot) in the Chromex leather which you can find here!
If there is one thing you can probably guess from our shoe collection it is that we love a good two-tone shoe. The changes in texture and colour can make a somewhat ordinary shoe come alive. Here we have a country brogue and boot made real unique by the black and tan contrast colour combination. They are both on a rugged commando sole, which whilst adds to the striking, unique look of the shoes also means they are the perfect shoe for any weather!
On another note our summer sale has started with some great offers to be had! Take a look here.
We are excited to announce today that our bag collection has expanded with two great additions, the Orkey and Stornoway. Both of these are handmade in Portugal from premium dark brown leather and canvas. The canvas is not just any old canvas though, it is the exact canvas from the iconic Landrover Defender!
What is really unique and just shows the quality of the bag is that the they can be repaired in the factory for years to come. Take a look at the Orkney and Stornoway below!
This month Herring shoes featured in Men’s Health. The shoe featured was the Harvard II, a shoe made by Cheaney in Northampton. When it comes to saddle shoes, ours is really unique. It has a beautifully crafted medallion on the toe and a unique colour and texture combination such as white suede and brown calf leather.
The article in Men’s Health is based around getting the Gatsby style right. We agree the Gatsby look is one which can be tricky to put together, but when done effectively it is a real head turner. At Herring we have a great range of two-tone shoes perfect for getting that Gatsby look! You can find them here.
We believe that navy is one of the most underrated colours for footwear. It’s a colour that looks good with jeans or even with a suit to give a contemporary feel to it. We have a few great styles in this unique colourway. Our styles also play with texture with a suede and leather two tone effect which creates footwear that will be sure to make you stand out from the crowd.
Now becoming one of Herring Shoes’ biggest fans, Jahmene Douglas graced the red carpet Monday 29th October, at the Daily Mirror’s renowned Pride Of Britain Awards. The awards ceremony celebrates and honours Britons who have acted courageously or extraordinarily in challenging situations, a star studded bash in which money is raised for a variety of worthy causes. The awards are televised by ITV, and hosted by Carol Vorderman. Jahmene look sartorially styled at the awards, with the Herring Aston adding the true red carpet touch.
