The Herring Elgin is a gibson fronted longwing brogue. The longwing brogue was most popular in the 1970s in the USA but has seen a revival recently. The Elgin is available in a brown chromex leather which has a greasy lusture. Using a chromex leather gives the shoe a waxy rugged feel to it and the longwing design just adds to this, not to mention the dainite sole! What’s more, chromex leather can developed a really unique patina over time.
We also have the Erskin (chukka boot) in the Chromex leather which you can find here!
